Yupp, we skipped Alpha 17. That’s because reasons!
In any event the new release fixes the last remaining network bugs (slow blinking for some players), which we traced back to a bug in the network layer, and the good people at who wrote that layer went back, and fixed it.
That may sound like a minor thing to fix, but it took us two full weeks of intensive testing to single out the issue, report it to the vendor, and then have them re-produce and confirm the issue. Fixing it then took another full hour.
So we now have a fully-functioning, fully tested network infrastructure that uses peer-to-peer connectivity. Yay!
