Today (a full day ahead of schedule, and on a Sunday, no less!) we released the next alpha version. This version contains a new spell that radically changes the duel dynamics: Invisibility. While most NPC mobs in the solo levels simply ignore visibility (most can smell you, all can sense your fear), using invisibility in the arena is something else entirely. While cloaked, you can build and cast spells, but activating an attack spell makes you visible. But you can lie in wait, fully cloaked, with a magic missile cocked and ready to go. Just make sure that your opponent didn’t blink in behind your back…
Invisibility has been made available on all network levels, as well as most solo levels where you can see your avatar. We’ve also created a fun Invisibility tutorial level that doubles as a shooting range: you can knock around some bottles and other stuff, or conjure an army of quite nasty skeletons (with varying levels of invisibility) to practice on.
Other changes are bug fixes, improvements to audio, and a host of other changes under-the-hood that we’ll need for upcoming releases.
