Another great idea – and one that makes the game so much cooler: “Hey, why can’t I tell what’s happening during casting simply by listening?” <crickets>
We went back to Logic Pro, Audacity and our sound lib – and worked on some nice, subtle sounds that would come to represent the wand’s state: silent (easy to do), charging (when you have at least one glyph in the wand, but no full spell yet), and ready to cast. We’re adding another audio feedback for the soon-to-come ‘ready to channel’ state. Oh, and we are looking at additional sound when drawing glyphs, a ‘good glyph’ (=accept) and ‘bad glyph’ (=discard) audio.
So now, you can tell just by listening if your glyph worked, or if you wand is ready to cast. Because in VR, looking at something is over-rated, right?
